Steele Lewis from Steele Lewis Designs is well known in the surf community as one of the best shapers/builders in the industry. With over twenty-two years of experience, Steele has constantly studied methods and improved his craft in search of the perfect board.

Newcastle born and bred, Steele is located in the heart of the surf city and on any given day you can see his boards on their famous beaches. It’s simple, Steele believes that the perfect board works with a skilled surfer to get the best out of a wave.

The team has a combined sixty-five years’ experience and includes laminating king Dooles and Miller who can take your dream design and turn your board into a piece of art.There’s no surprise that the SLD riding team includes names like Matt Hoy, Jarrod Morrell, Josh Ferris, Sarah Phelan and Amelia Bourke.

The SLD factory also offers glassing services to other shapers and designers.

SLD boards are Australian made in our Carrington factory.
